No advertising, genuine choice

1. Default setting

Aggregate interest analytics, local draft storage, advertising, profiling and external content are off by default. Optional choices are not preselected and the website remains usable with essential functions. Keliweb server logs and AWStats reports remain active independently: they use no cookies or device storage and are described in section 3.

2. Essential storage

“mitilsiciliano-storage-choice” and “mitilsiciliano-consent-record” store the choice, version and time on this device for no more than 180 days. Technical session and security data on Keliweb may be required for transmission, forms, protection and the restricted area. They are not used for advertising or profiling.

The “mitilsiciliano_admin” session cookie is used only to authenticate the administrator in the protected statistics dashboard and expires with the administrative session. It does not affect ordinary visitor browsing.

3. Server logs and AWStats without cookies

For HTTP requests, the Keliweb server generates technical logs that may include the full IP address, date and time, requested URL or resource, referrer, user-agent, browser, operating system, status code, data volume and a country inferred from the IP address. cPanel/AWStats processes them server-side for security, error diagnosis, capacity planning and aggregate traffic reporting.

AWStats sets no cookies and uses no localStorage, tracking JavaScript, pixel or persistent identifier on the device. Separately, the B2B catalogue stores only cart products and quantities in the device’s localStorage for 30 days as a strictly necessary request function; no prices or company details are stored in the cart. It is therefore not controlled by the Privacy Centre’s “Accept” or “Reject” buttons. Logs remain personal data under the GDPR; legal basis, retention criteria, recipients and the right to object are described in the privacy notice.

4. Pseudonymised technical counter and optional statistics

For operation, security and a minimal measurement of website use, a pseudonymised technical event containing page path, language, broad device category, traffic source and estimated country where available is sent to the server. The system creates a daily non-persistent hash and does not store full IP addresses or full user-agents in the statistics archive. It uses no advertising cookies and does not track users across other websites.

After consent to “Internal statistics”, pages, categories, producers and products viewed, catalogue searches and the search terms entered, key actions and short navigation sequences are recorded in pseudonymised form. Form contents and free-text form fields, email addresses and phone numbers are not recorded. Individual events and short pseudonymised navigation sequences are retained for no more than 31 days. The “live” panel view does not change that period or mean deletion within ten minutes; no separate 180-day archive of aggregate daily counts is maintained. The pseudonymised essential technical counter relies on legitimate interests in security, diagnosis and minimal service measurement (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); additional statistics rely on revocable consent (Article 6(1)(a)).

5. Optional local draft

Only after consent, the local keys “mitilsiciliano-producer-intake-it/de/en” store producer information in this browser. It is not sent to Mitilsiciliano and expires 7 days after the last save.

6. External calendars

Google and Microsoft content is not embedded automatically. Their cookie and privacy terms apply only after you consciously open an external page.

7. Change or withdraw your choice

Use “Privacy & cookies” at the bottom of the screen to accept, reject or withdraw statistics and local draft storage separately. Withdrawal stops new data sent to the optional analytics system, but not technical server logs/AWStats. Rejecting draft storage deletes the local draft immediately.
