Privacy notice for product and producer submissions
The form sends Mitilsiciliano a non-binding evaluation request. No product, document or certificate is published automatically, and submission does not guarantee buyer interest or an order.
1. Controller and contact
The controller is Mitilsiciliano. For privacy requests, email info@mitilsiciliano.com. Full company and address details are provided in the Legal notice.
2. Data processed
The form may collect the legal name, address, VAT and register details, website, company description and contact data; product, brand, EAN, origin, format, shelf-life, storage, allergen, capacity and lead-time data; pallet configuration and dimensions; sample availability; and essential LUCID, delivery and packaging information.
Attachments may include product photographs, technical sheets, catalogues, certificates and other company documents. The server may also generate technical security logs under the general privacy notice.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Data are used to review the company, products, documents, logistics and packaging information, prepare product sheets and dossiers, coordinate potential samples directly to selected buyers and assess a possible commercial relationship. Processing is based on requested pre-contractual steps (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for company representatives, may rely on the legitimate interest in B2B communication and compliance review (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Buyer presentation and publication
After review, Mitilsiciliano may use authorised product information and photographs to prepare or update a product page and present the proposal to selected retailers, importers or partners. Full certificates, personal contact details and confidential files are not automatically made public and are shared only when needed for the agreed evaluation process.
5. Samples
Stating that samples are available does not authorise an independent shipment. A producer sends samples directly to the buyer or supermarket only after Mitilsiciliano has coordinated and approved the recipient, department, date and labelling in writing. Free supplies may also be relevant under packaging rules.
6. Retention and recipients
The application record and attachments are stored on the Keliweb server for the review period and no longer than 180 days. If negotiations or a collaboration begin during that period, necessary data may be transferred to a separate record and retained for managing the relationship, complying with law or protecting legal rights.
Data are accessible to Mitilsiciliano and necessary technical providers, including hosting and email. Selected information may be disclosed to buyers or business partners involved in the evaluation.
7. Local browser draft
If “Save draft” is selected, text data are stored locally in the browser for no more than 7 days. Images and documents are not included and must be selected again.
8. Rights to photographs and documents
The submitter confirms that they hold the rights and authorisations needed for the uploaded content to be used for evaluation, commercial preparation and buyer presentation. Ownership of the content is not transferred to Mitilsiciliano.
9. Data-subject rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or object to processing and lodge a complaint with a competent authority. See the general privacy notice for further information.
